Welcome!

We are two women, passionate about photography and capturing those incredible, or even everyday moments. The moments you treasure.  We believe that photographs are so important…after all, our memories fade as time goes on, but a photograph can bring those warm memories all back to life again. The smell of that newborn baby, the way it felt when they curled their little fingers around yours, the way the groom looked at his bride for the first time. Memories that you do not want to fade away.

We love to share our images here as a sneak peek for our clients, and as a way to connect with you, our viewer. We love to hear from you as well, feel free to leave a comment here and there!

It’s official, we’ve moved!

I have been working like crazy lately creating new fun stuff for our business…we set a deadline for ourselves of March 1, 2010- the official “re-opening” of Creative Clicks Photography. We have had a new logo created, new business cards, brochures, website and blog- and it’s all so fun! It perfectly represents us and our work and we couldn’t be prouder. Tonight I finally finished the last touches on our new blog, you can visit it at creativeclicksphotographyblog.com.

So, a couple of things:

1. If you are a subscriber to this blog (I hope you are 😉 ), be sure to switch over to the new feed. If you have no idea what I am talking about, you should! It’s the best thing out there on the web to keep you totally updated with all your favorite blogs. Every time your subscribed blog updates with a new post, you will be notified. I would try to explain it all myself, but here’s a link that will do it better 😉

2. If you have the chance, be sure to come by our display at the Mom 2 Mom sale on Saturday, March 6. It’s gonna be a HUGE show with over 45 moms and some trades as well. Last year was our first year and we had over 500 people come through so be sure to come by early! The show is from 9-12, located at John Calvin School – 320 Station Street, Smithville, ON. We will be having a drawing for a free session and there’ll be lots of other great deals at the show as well!

3. The website is up and live as well, there’s a link on the blog, but I’ll add it here as well: creativeclicksphotography.com

4. Thank you so much for following us, this business has grown thanks to you and we are so proud, so happy, so in love with what we do and we’re thankful for your support. We couldn’t do it without you. Be sure to check out the blog, and the website, leave comments too if you see something you like 😉 We love to hear from you.

Sneak Peek- Sweet Baby C

This is late, I’m sorry! It was ready to go on Saturday and then life got busy…ooops! Here is  your little man J&R! Thanks for letting us photograph him, we had so much fun…and loved getting some snuggle time in too 🙂

It’s kind of random…

Here’s the prelude to my story: Steff and I were fortunate enough to get away from the lovely cold weather here in Ontario for a week. We went on a cruise in the Caribbean with our family and had an amazing time! Arriving in Miami, we were waiting for our shuttle to our hotel when I noticed a tall dark guy who looked very familiar. After looking at the group he was traveling with, I was positive it was who I thought it was, and so I walked up to him and asked, are you Dave? Very random and not at all a thing I would normally do…. but I’m so glad I did.  It was Dave Biesse and Charlotte Leonard of Dave and Charlotte Photography. They are incredible photographers whose work we have been following for a long time now (check out their blog here: http://www.daveandcharlotte.com/ ). It was so fun to meet them! We talked for a bit and discovered that we were going to be on the same cruise as well. Anyways, they shot this incredible beach wedding for friends of theirs in St. Thomas and also a Trash the Dress session in  Grand Turk. You can see some of the shots on Dave’s Facebook Profile, they are beautiful. I’m not sure when they’ll be on the blog. Steff and I wanted to follow them around all week and soak up all their knowledge, but we resisted the urge to irritate them 🙂 I wanted to get a picture with them to post here, but Steff and I  were feeling all ugly at the airport after traveling and didn’t dare ask later on….maybe next time 🙂

Anyways, can’t leave this post without a picture! Here’s one from our incredible trip!

This was taken in San Juan, Puerto Rico. It is such a beautiful island and so rich in history. We spent most of our day there visiting the fort that is pictured here, it actually spans a good part of the shoreline and took over 250 years to build. Some of the views from the towers and lookout points were just absolutely incredible. Makes me want to move there…

Clickin Moms

Well,  we’re back from our incredible vacay and I have lots of pics to share….but first I have to tell you all about this incredible forum.

I know I’ve written about them before, but I’m not sure I passed on all the real good info…. such as, did you know you can make money simply by being a part of this incredible group of women, and learning more about photography?! It’s true! You will learn so much as a photographer, or a mom with a camera (MWAC), and you can earn money simply by telling others about the site and having them join. It’s called an affiliate program, and it’s really easy.  You will earn 20% for each person you refer to Clickin’ Moms.  At that rate, you will only need to refer 5 new members for Clickin’ Moms to pay for itself. Plus, you will get that money again each year that person renews their subscription! (and they will, this site is amazing!)

Right now, Clickin Moms is having a sale, membership costs $27 for 6 months using discount code FRIEND to save 10%.  After you join, you can post links and graphics to Clickin’ Moms from your blog or website.

Right now, Clickin Moms is having a great contest. Which I want to win, by the way!  If you refer 10 new members, you will receive a $25 Starbucks gift card in addition to your commission.  Refer 25 new members, and you will receive a $50 ITunes gift card plus the Starbucks gift card.  The prizes increase all the way to 400 members.

Besides the awesome affiliate program, why would you want to join? Well, they have over 4000 people in the forum right now, and it’s only been around for a year. Some of these photographers are incredible professionals who are willing to teach you all that you need to know. Others are simply beginners and others still are just moms who want to know more about taking good pictures. There is just so much to learn! You can receive feedback on your images, get answers to your questions, or take part in the incredible workshops and contests held there.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact me~ I’d be happy to answer your questions! And if you do decide to join, be sure to click on the banner in the sidebar of my blog,  and you can help me win this contest 😉

Little Beauty

This sweet little girl is two months old, and so sweet and delicate. She still weighs only 8 pounds! She was a perfect angel at her session and mom was about to burst with pride 😉 I had to get just one up for her before we leave for our week’s vacation! I was totally laying in bed trying to fall asleep in preparation for the big day tomorrow, when I remembered this and I had to get out and make sure there was something here for mommy to see 🙂 Hope you love it!

My baby girls

Just wanted to share a few images I recently snapped of my gorgeous girls.

I was attempting to get some shots of the headbands in particular, as I  have been selling them to a local gift shoppe and will also be selling them at a Mom to Mom show in March

(come check it out! we’ll be featuring our photography there as well! more info can be found here: http://www.facebook.com/search/?q=mom2mom+show&init=quick#/event.php?eid=236094944115&index=1 )

These images turned out better than I hoped. Kyara, now 3, is definitely a photographers daughter and pretty much refuses to acknowledge the camera most of the time, while Eden, 17 months, normally won’t sit still for half a second! However, I guess this was my lucky day. I caught Kyara in a goofy mood and distracted Eden with her favorite pink necklace.

I love these images as they really show my girls personality.

This weekend, we also had a fun session with a gorgeous two month old baby girl. What a wee little doll, she’s still only 8 pounds! I’ll make sure to get some pictures up this week, before we leave for our cruise! (so excited!!)

Yes, we’re still here!

Things have slowed down photography wise after the crazy rush of fall/Christmas sessions.

We were able to enjoy wonderfully relaxing holidays with our family and friends and managed to get back into the swing of things again in January. Although the cold weather doesn’t allow us to get out and shoot much, we have been getting lots of other things done.

We had a new logo designed, and then I got busy making all new business cards and brochures and other marketing materials. They just arrived via UPS yesterday and we are LOVING them! The website is well under way and the blog will also receive an overhaul. It’s just soooo exciting! We can’t wait to show everyone!

Because no photography post should really be without pictures, here’s a few Steff took of Trinity in December.

I have more to post about soon, and some pics of my girls to share as well 🙂

Hope you’re enjoying this crazy winter! I am thankful there hasn’t been much snow yet, but it is still SO cold!

Bigger IS Better!!

Check out this fabulous article by Amy Ro Photography.

http://amyrophotography.com/blog/2009/12/bigger-really-is-better-providence-photography

It’s amazing how small an 8×10 print really is! I think everyone is afraid of large sizes. I recently ordered a 16×24 canvas, thinking it would be HUGE! Then I hung it up….lol. It looks tiny. I think I am going to order two more to go on either side to make it look a little more substantial. I will definitely learn from my mistakes 🙂

Hopefully this article enlightens everyone so they don’t make the same mistakes I did!

My little bro

I have been wanting to take some pictures of my little brother for a while now, and finally got around to it while he was on Christmas holidays. I couldn’t believe how great he was! He did as I asked, gave genuine smiles and was just perfect to photograph! I think maybe 6 years old is my new favorite age! I absolutely LOVED so many of his images, and we got them all in about 10 minutes in my parents living room!

Isn’t he just the cutest little guy?! I love him to bits 🙂

Well, I guess this marks the last post of 2009! It’s been a wonderful year and we are so thankful to the LORD for the care and guidance we have received from HIM. We have been blessed both in our personal life and business life. We’d also like to thank all of our clients, and wish you all a Happy New Year! Next year promises to be amazing!

I am looking forward to becoming an aunt again in May, when Steff is expecting her second little bundle 🙂 I can’t wait! We also have lots going on with a whole new re-branding effort with our business and have a new website to launch as well. It’s going to be busy!

So it’s goodbye to (if you are a client and have perfect eyesight, you may be able to spot one of your images in there :-P)

Welcome 2010!!

Merry Christmas!

Steff and I are both looking forward to celebrating the birth of our Savior with our families and friends. We have been so blessed this year and we look forward to 2010 and the joys it will encompass.

Since I never shared any pics from Steff’s family mini-session, here’s a couple:

isn’t she a doll?!

And here are our Christmas greeting cards this year:

I know, my family picture is old 😛 But I love it so much!

Wishing everyone the Lord’s blessings this season!
